Poutine Sliders
Last night my sister and I were fortunate enough to be graced by the presence of this beautiful little plate of genius. The Poutine Sliders at Toronto's Scotland Yard are an enticing marriage of thick beef gravy and cheese curds topping a handy little slider. While the cheese curds hold their form atop their beefy platform, the gravy oozes around the patty and scrumptiously soaks into the bun. To be honest, I have no idea why this idea hasn't caught on before. I remember eating Sirloin Steak TV dinners as a kid that tasted just like this, and adding the bun and cheese seems like a no brainer. Good call Scotland Yard, I shall return!
