The Huntsville Wing Review: Moose Delaney's
If you were to approach someone from Huntsville with the question: "Where can I find some good wings?", chances are they would tell you to go to Moose Delaney's. This is Huntsville's staple wing establishment, generating a regular buzz around town on wing night. "You headin to the Moose?" "Are you kiddin, what the hell else am I gonna do?!" To learn the routine of a Huntsville Wing Enthusiast wouldn't take the assassin's skill of The Jackal; shit, if you were to run for Mayor a safe bet would be to pick up a round on a Wednesday night and secure half the town's votes. This may have already been attempted. What I'm trying to say is, if you're not from Huntsville and don't know any better, you would assume that the best we have to offer comes from this restaurant purely from reputation and recommendation.

The Huntsville Wing Review: Muskoka On The Rocks
Plopped on the side of HWY 60 between Penn Lake and Hillside, Muskoka On The Rocks used to draw a nice local crowd on Thursday night for their tasty and well-cooked wings. Like Scotch on ice, these wings were a simple but delicious blend of classic flavours with a crispy texture that was hard to beat. None of us had dropped into MOTR for some time, a few years in fact, but were eagerly musing nostalgia as we walked in the door. Well many of Huntsville wing nuts will stand by Moose Delaney's as the place to be for wings, I always had it in my head that MOTR had them beat with their quality offering.

The Huntsville Wing Review: The Bush Company
After a very successful inaugural Wing Review, we had some trouble scheduling week two and missed it. This led to a the well received decision to double up on week three, so as not to fall behind so early in the review. The Second Wing Review was a strange one, with one restaurant mysteriously out of wings, and the other presenting some curious options that left our bellies wondering what just happened. With a bitter taste lingering in our mouths, you would think that a second review two days later would be somewhat of a mountain to climb. This is one of the great things about wing nights: for some reason beyond understanding, an hour before dinner time you are fiending for wings so ravenously that you would run through a field of flaming Huntsville mosquitos the size of eagles just to get a plate. Ok, maybe not that bad, but seriously, I thought my wing appetite was gone forever after our previous experience, and I was really excited by the time 7pm rolled around. I'm sure I'll be given an intervention by the time this is all said and done.

The Huntsville Wing Review: Crabby Joe's and Kelsey's
Through complications of scheduling, week two of the Huntsville Wing Review was missed. This left us with the exciting opportunity to play catch-up by reviewing two wing nights in one week. Being the gluttonous wing pigs that we are, nobody was disappointed with this deviation from routine. We were also forced to stray from our geography based route, leap-frogging to Crabby Joe's in order to hit their Tuesday night wings special. Some of us had been there before, but never on wing night and with mixed reviews mainly concerning the level of service. With open minds and empty guts, we were in for a shock that none of us had ever encountered before.

The Huntsville Wing Review
Huntsville, Ontario is a small tourist town of 20,000 inhabitants. In the summer, your imagination can run wild with endless possibilities for fun things to do. Swimming, boating, hiking and partying are easily accessible right outside your front door. However, when winter rears her ugly ass and shits snow all over the land these activities become scarce and at times the idea of sticking your tongue to a snowplow to go for a drag down the highway grows increasingly attractive, simply for something to do. For this reason, a group of intrepid chicken wing chow-hounds and beer-swilling scallywags have decided to put this otherwise useless time into something productive: seek and review every chicken wing service establishment in Huntsville and the surrounding area. Seeing as how I have this blog sitting here with nothing else going into it recently, the results will be posted weekly. Why would anyone want to read this? I don't know! How about this:
